Her story : This leopard and another one were owned by a man who had many animals. He said he trained them for doing films and ads. Many animals were owned illegaly and in non-secured enclosures. They were confiscated. The 2 leopards arrived in the Refuge de l'Arche in 2009.

The Refuge de l'Arche is not a zoo, it's a rescue facility for wild animals : exotic animals and local fauna. It's paired with a rescue center which take care of local wild animals ( orphans, injured ones... ) : if they heal, they're realeased in the wild, if they can't be released, they're transferred to the Refuge.
