His story : In 2007, in a forest of Southern France, with great surprise, a hunter came face to face with...a leopard ! This male probably escaped from a circus not far from the place he was found. The circus's director said it wasn't their leopard, so the Refuge took him.

The Refuge de l'Arche is not a zoo, it's a rescue facility for wild animals : exotic animals and local fauna. It's paired with a rescue center which take care of local wild animals ( orphans, injured ones... ) : if they heal, they're realeased in the wild, if they can't be released, they're transferred to the Refuge.
